The "Dia de los Muertos", or "Day of the Dead" is a holiday celebrated in Mexico to honor the lives of loved ones who have passed, with food and drink. The skeleton is a central image used in decorations for the holiday, and our Day of The Dead corkscrew is inpired by this fantastical and reverent holiday. Designed by Ariel Rojo and Stephanie Suårez for the Kikkerland Mexico Design Challenge, this zinc alloy and stainless steel corkscrew is as whimsical as it is functional.

Cool concept, horrible execution. The corkscrew has to be completely through the cork and sticking into the wine for it to pull the cork out, and when you finally get it out, the damn corkscrew twists out from the rest of it, so you can't twist the cork off and instead have to carve it off. Waste of time and money (and corks that I wanted to collect lol)

One time tool

First bottle opened and the screw got stuck into the cork.
While twisting it back the tip bent...
Looks good on the shelf... Don't use unless you want to brake it. Money back!!!
