I read the other reviews and had to make my own review. There is MORE THAN ENOUGH thread. Not sure if the others ever cross stitched before. *You have to separate the strings into strands.* 6 strands make up one string. I used 2 strands *or* 1 strand doubled up so it makes a loop. The colors on the picture are easy to follow once you chose the right thread color and just focus on that color. The boxes in the picture are accurate to the hoop so count your boxes from the edge of the hoop for the right place to start the design. I am so happy that Kikkerland made this design because it looks like my cat!

- not enough thread (personal opinion)
- the colors don't match up to the pictures
- three of the colors are so similar that you need certain lighting to decipher what specific color it is
- either I made my cat outline too big or the bamboo wheel is too small of a circle
- overall I like it but my major issue is the small amount of thread

I made this as my first cross stitch kit and its a horrible beginner kit. The instructions tell you to use 2-3 strands of string. using 3 strands result in not enough string. Also, the grays are tricky to tell apart, and there wasn't a color chart like usual. however I felt the size of the bamboo hoop wasn't too small. Overall, this isn't a great kit, however it could be worse I guess. Only recommend if you've cross-stitched before. If not, you'd be much more successfull with one of the other kits.

This kit does not come with enough thread to complete as instructed. The instructions say to use 2 strands to a stitch, and there's simply not enough embroidery thread provided to do that. Also, the pattern is colors and not symbols, so it is very hard to follow.

maybe i’m just dumb but this does not seem like it’s for beginners. at least not first time beginners.
