GIVING BACK TO THE DESIGN COMMUNITY

Since 2009, Kikkerland has been collaborating with Design Schools by conducting yearly Design Challenges. They make Kikkerland a company that not only makes products that have some meaning or tell a story, but it gives Kikkerland a sense of purpose. It is a way to engage with up-and-coming young student designers in taking their concept from prototype to market.

From its conception Kikkerland understands that design is more convincing and appealing when you give products a meaning or when they tell a story. What can be better than going into one’s inner roots and culture and mix it with design to create a meaningful, fun product? This is why Kikkerland works with students and design academies all over the world.

Kikkerland has held 13 design challenges: 5 in United States, 2 in Mexico, 2 in Korea, 2 in the Netherlands, 1 in China and 1 in the UK. Products from these Design Challenges are always original and refreshing, and frequently best-selling.
