The magnet is too weak to hold it to anything. It's cute but I'm disappointed because I had planned to put it on the side of the toaster for convenience, that was why I bought this so I wouldn't have if I knew that tye magnet didn't work.

I was really excited about this product because the design was so cute and also practical--I've burned my fingers trying to fish out toast before. And magnetic for storage! Awesome! Buuut...the tongs didn't lie flat. So they didn't stick to the toaster because the integrated magnet wasn't flush with the toaster. It wasn't a very strong magnet either, even though it looked like it was neodymium. I had to add **four** thick ceramic magnets to the back of the bird to make it functional and not top-heavy. Love the concept but I think it needed more testing before launching it for sale. To

The magnet is not strong enough to hold the weight of the tongs and the wood is too stiff to actually squeeze the tongs unless you hold them right at the tip. They are basically nonfunctional.
