Koen Campman

Good design improves your life.

Koen Campman lives in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He completed his studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven, DAE, earning his degree in 2020. During his time at DAE, he broadened his horizons with a six-month exchange program at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, USA.

Koen started his journey as a product designer at a product design firm, rising to the position of Head of Design. Fueled by a strong longing for creative independence, he embarked on a new path early 2023, choosing to forge his own way as an independent designer.

Since then, Koen has explored a diverse range of design disciplines, from crafting unique furniture collections to developing innovative products and digital services such as brand identities.

While studying at Design Academy Eindhoven, Koen participated in the Kikkerland Design Challenge (a collaboration between Kikkerland and AS Adventures). During this challenge, he created two products: Foragers Playing Cards and Mushroom Keychain Tool. Both his creations were chosen for further development. They today are popular products within the Kikkerland product line.

Besides design, Koen has a passion for art. He has been painting all his life in different styles, from abstract to hyperrealistic. His recent focus lies in creating photorealistic paintings of ordinary subjects.

Koen has the ability to translate a thought or idea into a tangible design or product.
