Chris Collicott was born in Essex, England and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design at the Norwich School of Art. After moving to London he created models for print, television commercials, and album covers while spending his spare time designing gift items sold in Covent Garden.

Chris moved to Los Angeles in 1982, where he worked in the entertainment industry making models, and he began branching out into interior and decorative design. Soon, his line of decorative home accessories were sold in major museum and design stores, and featured in design books and magazines.

In 1999 Chris moved to New York, where he continued designing items like the Leaning and Pushing Bookends, Idyllic Table Garden, a Menorah, and a set of Invisible Games for Kikkerland Design, as well as creating limited edition fine pop-up books, which are collected by museums and universities worldwide.

In New York, Chris has also found his way into architecture, designing the soothing environment of Manhattan's Stone Spa in 2002. He currently is designing his second spa.
